I’ve managed several versions of my personal website over the years, with a few attempts to generate revenue as well. Most of the early pages were typed in notepad on static html pages, with hard links to files and documents. I tried a few content management systems and settled on WordPress. I ran an email subscription list and photo album in the experiment. One of the revenue projects I worked with turned out to be a scam and my domain got blocked from facebook. At some point I got frustrated with the process and let my professional hosting account lapse. Unfortunately, I only made back-ups of the files on the website, not the database, which is where all the created content was actually stored. I’ve trolled the wayback archives to try and recreate that old content, but some was lost forever. The archived tags are from those old pages.
